Inspiration is everywhere. When Poets look at the moon, they feel it and get inspired. Similarly, bees and butterflies taste nectar, and flowers bloom. People get inspired by: Nature and the environment, the influence of travel and cultures, emotion, and personal experience.
My inspiration to write this novel came from a movie called Philadelphia. It is a 1993 American legal drama film directed and produced by Jonathan Demme, written by Ron Nyswaner. “Philadelphia” is one of the first mainstream films to address the AIDS crisis and the stigma and discrimination surrounding it, helping to bring awareness to the issues faced by those living or dying with HIV/AIDS. I was overwhelmed by the emotionally charged acting of Tom Hanks, so I decided to write a novel, but it had to include a broader area, not only the same sex population, but the whole world, since millions of people were dying, mostly in Sub-Saharan Africa. It didn’t limit only to Men, but Women and their offspring were equally affected and faced discrimination. Then I faced a dilemma because if I only wrote about AIDS, nobody would read my novel. I need another layer to smooth the rough surface. I remember my favorite book, Gone with the Wind, a love story. Love fosters strong emotional bonds, creating a sense of connection and belonging.
Vanessa’s Passion for Red, Blue, and Green Love describes three stages or types of love, represented by colors, each symbolizing a distinct emotional experience: Red Love means hot sexual love, characterized by passion, intense physical attraction, and desire. Blue Love represents romantic love, reflects emotional intimacy, connection, and romantic bonding. Green Love represents gentle, affectionate love, symbolizing tender, caring, and enduring affection or companionship beyond initial passion.
The story follows Scarlett O’Hara, a young woman in the American South, and her struggles for survival and love. She didn’t love Rhett, but Ashley, similarly, Vanessa loved Chris. Thank you.
