Books by Gita Audhya

My heartfelt greetings go to my wonderful Readers who enjoyed my books over the years, and provided the support to carry on. I always love to hear from the readers. So please write to me and don't hesitate to provide your opinion.

This is a story that will resonate with anyone who has ever stood at the crossroads of purpose and passion or has or had a loved one with AIDS.

From the fiery urgency of red love, to the melancholic longing of blue, and the healing softness of green, the book offers a sweeping tale that blends romance, ambition, and moral tension with heartfelt sincerity.

At the center of the story is Vanessa, a magnetic protagonist whose life is shaped by a tragedy that ignites her purpose: to find a cure for AIDS. Her journey is anything but straightforward. The author masterfully balances her personal mission with her emotional entanglements, particularly the conflict between marital stability and the allure of forbidden passion.

The writing itself is refreshingly cinematic, and offers an insight into what it was like to have your loved ones affected by AIDS back then, and how even your significant other could display discriminatory patterns of thought when they discovered one of your loved ones had it. This is also reflected in her conflict and relationship with the sophisticated, artsy, son of wine owners, Nicholas, going from the inner conflict between if pursuing her relationship with him or not, to multiple, pleasurable climaxes, to then her discovering his intolerant reaction for people with AIDS

At times, she’s so overtaken by her emotions and attractions towards him that she momentarily forgets her surroundings. This push and pull between her goals and her desire for Nick adds a compelling layer to her internal struggle and reflects the novel’s core tension between love and responsibility.

These moments are written with a confident hand, blending classic romance tropes with subtle emotional cues that keep the story grounded. The characters are believable, flawed, passionate, and vividly drawn, especially Vanessa, whose inner conflict between desire and duty forms the emotional backbone of the novel.

The prose sparkles, the stakes feel real, and the heart at the center of the story beats strong.
